JUST ARRIVED

I just received several knives from Bob Dozier, some beautiful Classic Hunters and some other Models with unique Micarta.

I received more Okapi knives, now I have all sizes from Small to Large - some lock some don't but they are a great bang for the buck. I will of course sharpen and clean each one for FREE before sending it out.

Also, an Order from Dan Crotts arrived, I will be listing those soon. There are some VERY nice Model 2's with unique handle materials.

Ebay Auctions

I will clearing out some knives that I have had for a while using Ebay. I will start all these with a Buy It Now Price or start the Auction at $0.99 cents.

This evening I listed some MORA knives from Sweden. I will try to keep the Okapi knives listed but it looks like my importer for these is not going to be carrying them any longer so I will have to look for another source.

Also, the SVORD knives are selling well, since they are Forged and have a hand sharpened Convex blade shape they are excellent cutters.

As with all Production knives I sell, I sharpen and strop these for Free. It doesn't matter what you pay for a knife if it won't cut when you get it, right?

DOZIERS

The Dozier that I listed yesterday is Sold so I listed the last 2 I have available until I get my next Order. A very nice Straight Hunter and custom Ordered Sweetwater with Autumn Jigged Bone handles and Brass hardware. Take a look.

OOOPS - no need to dive down to the floor. I just wanted to let you know what I am expecting and when.

This week

I am expecting knives from Dan Crotts any day now. There will only be 6 knives in this order and 2 were Custom Orders that I submitted so that only leaves 4 to sell. Once you see them listed don't wait to email me with your preference. Also, if you want to Custom order a Crotts knife send me a note and let's get started.

I will be listing the EXOTAC nanoStriker this week. I got the MatchCaps up on the Site and have already sold a couple. These are excellent tools that you should really take a look at, I am also including a BONUS with every purchase, see the item Description.

I have some more great knives by Makers such as Ralph Freer and Ed Kalfayan to put on the site. These are very unique blades and sheath.

I will be adding a new Maker to my Site - Mike Malosh. Mike makes incredible knives that represent the best value in a Scagle style forged blade. I custom ordered these knives from Mike more than 10 months ago (as a side note Mike is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT for 2010). There will be something for any outdoor enthusiast, both large and small.

I spoke with a Maker today who I am very excited to be working with, John Cohea. John makes some of the absolute best period Knives and Hawks that you will find anywhere. Also, John has almost finished the first part of a two part DVD on Rawhide Sheath making. I have talked him into making a new style War Hawk and a matching Belt knife. These will be professionally photographed for submission into a coming knife periodical. Take a look at John's work - I predict in a very short time John will be as highly thought of as any period knife maker.

I purchased a small collection of knives by Rudy Ruana recently. Some of these will go into my own collection but I will also be listing some for sale on my Site. If you have any Ruana knives that you want to sell or Trade give me a shout.

I have another large order of Bob Dozier knives coming soon. I ordered these more than 15 months ago and there will be some custom beauties in the group. The last order I received 15 knives and only a couple are left to put up on the Site, all the other Sold quickly. When you see these listed, don't wait too long or they will be all gone.

NEW Format to BLOG - UPDATE

Well, it's been too long since I posted to my Blog. I want to start with saying I am going to try something different and start posting updates to my Website here for those that might be interested.

Let's start with a Gorgeous New Ed Fowler MS Pronghorn - just listed it and it is priced to Sell. I love Ed's work but since his backlog is seven years I never got around to ordering one. If you are like me here is your chance to own one.

Also, Got in two Ron Gaston custom knives with amazing Sambar Stag. Mr. Gaston always was known to have the best Stag in the business and I spoke to another Maker recently that remembered when he saw Ron purchase almost $20,000 worth of Stag at one time. Now THAT is stocking up folks. I was sad to hear of Mr. Gastons passing and I am glad that we have his knives still around to speak to us.

I'm very excited to also add a new Company's items for my customers. If you hav enot heard of EXOTAC yet you will - here is their website http://www.exotac.com/ They have quickly built a following in the Survival / Preparedness community of having an excellent product. Jason Klass who runs a gear Blog had this to say - "I have finally found a better flint than my Light My Fire Scout. The EXOTAC nanoStriker is lighter and more compact."

We were fortunate to have a wonderful Period piece by Rich McDonald. This knife and sheath combo were simply gorgeous. The customer who purchased it stated he felt that this McDonald knife and sheath were "Winkler/Shook quality at an attainable price". I couldn't agree more. Lok for more Rich McDonald knives on my site soon!

For those that like Damascus we have just received some knives from Herb Derr. We have been a Dealer for Mr. Derr for about seven years and have seen his work grow in popularity with collectors each year. Mr. Derr is arguably the most reasonably priced Damascus Maker in the knife world today. We will also pick up more knives from Mr. Derr at the BLADE show this year so check back with us in June.

Finally, we purchased a large collection of Custom Hunting knives that I will be listing. We were lucky enough to get not one byt two Ralph Freer knives in that collection. Both are amazing in quality and detail on the knives and the Sheaths. If you are fan of the late Mr. Freer please check these out.
